A unique public/private partnership was developed between Gust, IBM, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, the Economic Development Corporation of the City of New York, and more than a dozen technology companies to create Digital.NYC.

2015 – 2017. Digital.NYC is the official start-up hub of New York City and of its whole technology ecosystem: companies, investors, jobs, accelerators, work areas, and more.

We were selected to redevelop the technology platform to make it easier for other cities around the world to create and manage their own hubs. Originally built in Ruby on Rails, we opted for an overhaul in Drupal, which allows us to integrate and standardize content from different sources.

London and Boston are already vying to develop their own hub, and it’s just the beginning. The platform also will power gistnetwork.org, sponsored by the U.S. State Department.

Gust.com is an international funding platform for new companies. For several years, Gust has helped angel investors and venture capital funds to collaborate with promising companies. In the last 12 months, more than 1,800 start-ups were financed through Gust.
